Beyoncé:nuevo video y letra ~ Musicanoticias

Parece ser que esta madrugada dos de las divas más importantes del mundo musical mainstream se han puesto de acuerdo para estrenar videoclips. Por un lado, como ya os anuncié con el teaser, tenemos el Cheers (Drink to That) de Rihanna que ya lo tenemos al completo; por otro, el nuevo single de Beyoncé, 1+1, y con el que comenzamos nuestra mañana musical.

En realidad, no se trata de un single como tal, sino más bien de un single promocional. Sin entrar a valorar las diferencias, lo que sí tenemos claro que está incluido en 4, su nuevo disco, y cuya producción viene firmada por el dúo de lujo que forman The-Dream y Tricky Stewart. Este baladón lo pudimos escuchar por primera vez en directo en la visita de la ex Destiny’s Child a American Idol el pasado mayo.

Para este videoclip, dirigido en parte por ella misma, Beyoncé ha optado por hacerse una especie de autohomenaje. Me explico, vendría a ser como una especie de fusión entre las visuales promocionales de su perfume Heat y alguno de sus otros anuncios para cosméticos. Todo ello lo hace siguiendo la línea de videoclip de planos estáticos donde Beyoncé aparece varias veces en ropa interior, con una especie de sábana o, incluso, en un conato de topless. A ver, las visuales no son nuevas pero funcionan y dentro de la categoría de videoclips hechos-con-cuatro-duros es más que correcto.

Panic! At The Disco: Let's Kill Tonight, videoclip y letra

Panic! At The Disco han conseguido con su tercer disco, Vices & Virtues, recuperar lo mejor de su disco debut para ofrecer un trabajo con algunas canciones bastante interesantes, entre ellas este Let’s Kill Tonight, su tercer single que viene con un videoclip que no destaca especialmente entre sus anteriores trabajos.

Panic! At The Disco están acostumbrados a ofrecernos videoclips bastante trabajados donde explotan su estética emo, por mucho que les moleste a sus fans esta palabra, pero para este Let’s Kill Tonight han querido hacer un vídeo donde podemos ver como son sus directos. Por suerte no es el típico vídeo grabado en una actuación y ya esta, e incluye escenas de cementerios, serpientes, y toda una serie de escenarios que les meten de lleno en su oscuro mundo.

El videoclip no me ha parecido gran cosa, pero si que tiene algún momento interesante, sobre todo en su parte final. La canción sin embargo si que me ha gustado bastante y me parece una gran elección como single para la banda, que continúa con su buena elección de canciones para promocionar el disco.

Lil Wayne: How To Love, nuevo videoclip y letra

Sin previo aviso, MTV Jams acaba de estrenar un nuevo videoclip de Lil Wayne y lo ha hecho de su nuevo single How To Love, aquella especie de balada que versionó Justin Bieber hace unas semanas. Éste es otro de los singles que encontraremos en Tha Carter IV, su retrasadísimo nuevo disco que, finalmente, parece ser que verá la luz el próximo lunes 29 de agosto.

Este How To Love, como los propios productores avisaron, sorprendió por el género musical. Me refiero a que si en anteriores temas Lil Wayne había más que coqueteado con géneros, como el rock, en esta ocasión ha dejado el flow de lado para cantar esta especie de balada R&B/pop. Claro, personalmente, pienso que el asunto ganaría mucho más si no lo hiciese camuflado tras el irritante y cansino auto-tune.

Al parecer, también ha querido sorprender con el estreno no anunciado de este videoclip en el que el compromiso es mucho más sincero. Me refiero a que el videoclip recurre a aquella aleatoriedad del destino y lo diferente que puede llegar a ser la vida de una persona según los acontecimientos de su infancia. La mayor parte del vídeo se centra en la historia de una niña cuya madre sufre maltrato, ella acoso, y tras una adolescencia turbia acaba siendo estríper y sufriendo cosas peores que no mencionaré. El contrapunto llega al final con la otra cara, en el que Chris Robinson, el director, nos muestra una versión más positiva…

Florence + The Machine: What The Water Gave Me, nuevo videoclip y letra

Sí, es oficial, What The Water Gave Me, aquel tema que ya pudimos escuchar en directo, es el nuevo single oficial de Florence + The Machine. No sólo ya podemos escucharlo al completo, sino que está a la venta en iTunes y se ha estrenado un videoclip oficial, del que poco comentaremos ya que es un mero acompañamiento. Éste es el primer extracto oficial del próximo álbum de los británicos, a la venta presumiblemente el 7 de noviembre.

Más allá que lo colocase como uno de mis discos imprescindibles del 2009, Florence Welch y los suyos lograron con Lungs hacer que la crítica británica primero, europea después y, finalmente, estadounidense se rindiera a sus pies. A juzgar por este primer single promocional, parece que la cosa no va a cambiar y el nivel de excelencia se va a mantener.

Y lo hace gracias a la combinación perfecta entre la personal voz de Welch y la producción de Paul Epworth. Quizá a bote pronto no os suene, pero este compositor y productor británico ha firmado varios de los discos que más me han impresionado de los últimos años. Aparte de Lungs, The Defamation of Strickland Banks de Plan B, The Lady Killer de Cee Lo Green o 21 de Adele llevan su firma.

What The Water Gave Me tiene como punto de partida los acordes de arpa ya característicos de Florence, y va avanzando en un in crescendo progresivo gracias a las potentes guitarra, bajo y batería hasta llegar a convertirse en un tema indie rock, incluso bailable. En este viaje la voz de Welch, el sonido del arpa y los coros góspel nos vuelven a trasladar a ese conocido imaginario épico medieval que, en esta ocasión, hace referencia a la muerte de Virginia Woolf y al cuadro del mismo nombre que el tema de Frida Kalho. Si, sin duda alguna, lo han vuelto a hacer.
