Lenny Kravitz y Drake: Sunflower, nueva canción y letra

Ya podemos ampliar la lista formada por Stand, Come On Get It y Rock Star City Life como temas que conocemos del nuevo disco de Lenny Kravitz. Desde hoy incluímos Sunflower, una de las canciones que más curiosidad ha despertado de su próximo Black and White America, ya que cuenta con la colaboración en la letra y en los versos del rapero Drake.

Será el próximo 22 de agosto cuando en Europa podremos comprobar cómo suena el noveno disco de la estrella norteamericana. En Estados Unidos deberán esperar hasta el 30 de agosto para escuchar el nuevo despliegue de talento y polivalencia de Kravitz ya que en este disco ha vuelto a componer, producir, escribir, cantar y tocar instrumentos como la guitarra, la batería, el piano, el bajo y hasta el sintetizador.

La verdad que de los 16 cortes que formarán el álbum éste era uno de los que más expectación me había creado. Principalmente quería saber qué predominaría más, si sonidos rockeros, algo más urbanos o volvería a fusionar estilos. Pues bien ha optado por lo tercero ya que nos deja con la boca abierta con la mezcla perfecta de elementos funk con sonidos festivaleros cariocas. Con un tono totalmente veraniego, bailable y de aires totalmente optimistas, puedo decir sin problemas que este Sunflower me gusta.

Aloe Blacc: Green Lights, nuevo videoclip y letra

Aloe Blacc sigue en pleno proceso de expansión europea con el lanzamiento de su nuevo single. De todos los excelentes cortes que incluye su disco Good Things el chico del I Need A Dollar ha escogido Green Lights como segundo single para el Reino Unido, tercero para el resto del mundo. A la venta desde el próximo 12 de septiembre.

Teniendo como rompehielos el tema central de la serie How To Make It In America, Aloe Blacc ha logrado colarse en listas de ventas, no sólo estadounidenses, sino europeas también como, por ejemplo, en Francia donde este Good Things ha logrado ser disco de oro. Quizá como agradecimiento al público galo se fue hasta la capital parisina para rodar el videoclip de Green Lights a las órdenes del director de 23 años Colin Solal Cardo del excelente site La Blogothèque.

Siguiendo la estética de los conciertos Take Away Show, conciertos improvisados para llevar, de La Blogothèque, Colin ha querido emular la actuación que grabó para Delafé y Las Flores Azules con Espíritu Santo. Así vemos a Aloe Blacc caminando y cantando por diferentes puntos de París ante la atenta mirada de la gente que se va encontrando. Uno de los puntos más reconocibles de todo este sencillo y apropiado videoclip es la parada que hace en el Sacre Coeur. Sobre el tema en sí decir que sigue la línea de calidad de todo el disco, enorme.

Jessie J: Domino, nueva canción y letra. Colaboración de Dr. Luke y Katy Perry

Si el otro día os presentaba su actual single internacional, hoy le toca el turno a una nueva canción de Jessie J, no incluida en su disco debut Who You Are. Domino es el título de su próximo single que lanzará específicamente como segundo oficial en Estados Unidos, tras Price Tag, y para el que ha contado con dos colaboradores de lujo.

Al parecer, tras su canción con B.o.B, tanto la discográfica, como la propia Jessie J, no veían claro un tema con el potencial comercial suficiente para el mercado estadounidense dentro de su Who You Are. Por ello fueron a lo seguro y utilizaron la formula de Katy Perry, a la quien teloneará en Estados Unidos en noviembre. ¿Qué fórmula? Grabar una nueva canción contando con Dr. Luke en la producción y con la propia chica del California Gurls como coescritora.

El resultado es un tema que bien podría encajar en el exitoso Teenage Dream. Domino suena a himno veraniego pop y uptempo bailable cuyo estribillo se engancha con facilidad. Echo de menos el parafraseo con acento british característico de Jessie J, pero al parecer no es muy del gusto del mainstream estadounidense. En los próximos días se lanzará oficialmente allí y comprobaremos si la jugada le funciona, personalmente apuesto a que así será.
